Regalia & Associates is a full service public accounting
firm with significant audit, tax, consulting and computer experience. Mr.
Douglas W. Regalia started practice with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. in Oakland in 1980 and left
after 7 years as Senior Audit Manager.
He then spent three years as Vice President - Finance and Chief
Financial Officer with Duffel Financial & Construction Company in Lafayette before
creating Regalia & Associates in 1990.
The firm currently has two CPA's and employs two others who have
significant accounting and auditing experience. Regalia & Associates is
a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California State Society of Certified
Public Accountants.
Regalia & Associates has extensive experience in
auditing client computer systems, including mainframe and personal computer
applications. Mr. Regalia is the
firm’s designated computer specialist.
His training includes specialized EDP auditing techniques with Peat Marwick’s
New York
office, culminating in the designation as EDP Systems Specialist. Additionally, Mr. Regalia has worked on
various auditing and consulting engagements during the past fifteen years,
requiring knowledge of IBM Systems 36 and AS400. He has a good working knowledge of
networks, including operating systems such as Windows 7, Windows Vista,
Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows 98/95, Windows 3.xx, DOS,
Novell, and Macintosh Operating Systems.
There are numerous methods of auditing computer accounting systems. The primary methods are auditing through
the computer, auditing around the computer, or utilizing a combination of
both techniques. After our analysis of
your accounting environment, we will utilize the appropriate method(s) based
upon your circumstances.
